Air Canada Carry-On Changes

Before your trip Read More Stories

Effective May 25, 2015 all customers on Air Canada flights will need to make sure their carry-on luggage meets sizing regulations.

Air Canada is pleased to offer a generous carry-on baggage allowance. Travel comfortably, safely and on time respecting our existing carry-on baggage regulations. The following procedures, applicable to all Air Canada customers, including Business Class customers and Air Canada Altitude™ members, will reduce congestion at security check-points and help with smooth boarding and sufficient stowage on board the aircraft:

• Effective May 25, 2015, all customers departing from Toronto Pearson will have their carry-on baggage checked for compliance with
existing Air Canada carry-on baggage regulations

• All compliant carry-on baggage will be tagged by our agents with a new ‘Approved Carry-on Baggage’ tag’; oversize and/or excess bags
will be checked and fees may apply

• All other airports worldwide served by Air Canada will implement this process by the end of June.

There is a 2 week grace for Altitude Members and for Business Class travellers:
